Neduva is a locality in the Malappuram area of northern Kerala, close to the Arabian Sea coast. The landscape is typical of the Malabar lowlands: flat ground, dense tree cover, and houses spread out along lanes rather than grouped in a compact centre. On the map this shows as a fine, irregular mesh of roads with few straight lines.
The coast, the canals and the backwater channels of this part of Kerala all influence the road pattern, and the railway along the coast adds a long, steady line to the composition.
