Paddy-field grid
Rectangular rice fields cover much of the plain. On the map they read as a fine, regular mesh that frames the residential clusters and roads.

Nomimachi Map Poster & Print
Nomi lies on the Kaga plain in Ishikawa Prefecture, south of Kanazawa and a short distance inland from the Sea of Japan. From above, it looks like a mix of rice paddies, small residential districts and straight connecting roads. The land begins to rise toward wooded hills in the east. The Tedori River, one of the region's main rivers, flows nearby to the north.
The area is closely linked with Kutani ware, the richly painted porcelain of southern Ishikawa, and pottery workshops remain part of local life. Nomi is also home to the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, a graduate research university set on the higher ground at the city's edge.
A Nomimachi map poster turns this landscape into a clear, even pattern. There are rectangular paddy blocks, small clusters of houses, and roads that cut across the plain in long straight lines. Where the hills begin, the grid breaks into winding lines and darker wooded ground, giving the print a natural change of texture.

Eastern hills
The land rises into forested hills toward the east. Contour-following lanes and dense woodland contrast with the geometric fields below.
Research campus
The university campus occupies its own well-defined area on higher ground, with its buildings and access roads forming a compact, deliberate plan on the map.

ለምን Nomimachi
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
The poster suits people connected to southern Ishikawa: potters, researchers who studied at the institute, or families from the Kaga plain. It is also a calm, graphic piece for anyone who likes landscapes where farming shapes the map.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, for instance with a graduation year or a family name. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper suits the quiet paddy pattern.
