Nzianouan is a town in southern Ivory Coast, in the belt of plantations and remnant forest that lies inland from the Abidjan lagoons. Like many towns in the region, it has grown up around the road that connects it to larger centres, and that road organises the map.
Away from the main route, streets form a fairly regular pattern of blocks and compounds before turning into tracks that lead to fields. The contrast between the dense centre and the open, green edges is sharp, and it makes the town's footprint easy to read from above.
