Ōgi is a neighbourhood in Adachi Ward, in the north of Tokyo, close to the broad channel of the Arakawa River. From above it looks like the typical fine-grained texture of residential Tokyo. Small lanes and narrow blocks are packed tightly together and broken by a few wider roads, parks and school grounds.
The Arakawa's wide riverbanks, with their flood levees and open green strips, make a strong edge nearby, and the elevated Nippori-Toneri Liner runs through the area on its way north from central Tokyo. The meeting of dense housing and the open river corridor is what gives the map its character.
