Canal network
Irrigation channels cut across the land in straight and gently bending lines. On the poster they add a second, finer layer of structure beneath the town's streets.

Oltinko‘l Map Poster & Print
Oltinko‘l lies in Karakalpakstan, in the far northwest of Uzbekistan, on the flat lands of the lower Amu Darya. Seen from above, the landscape is shaped by water management: straight canals, ditches and field boundaries divide the ground into long strips and blocks, and the town sits among them as a denser cluster of streets.
This is a region where irrigation decides where life is possible. Beyond the cultivated land, the surface turns to open steppe and desert, and the change is plain even on a simple street map. To the west the ground begins to rise toward the Ustyurt plateau, one of the great dry tablelands of Central Asia.
An Oltinko‘l map poster is a portrait of an oasis landscape. There are no hills to organise the view, so the lines people have drawn on the land do the work: roads, canals and field edges. The result is a spare, almost architectural image that feels at home in a minimal interior.

Compact town core
The built-up area is concentrated and clearly bounded. Its streets form a small, dense patch that stands out sharply against the open land around it.
Edge of the desert
Beyond the fields, the map empties out quickly. That sudden emptiness is part of the character of the place and gives the design generous white space.
