Paisley Map Poster & Print
Paisley lies just west of Glasgow in Renfrewshire, on either side of the White Cart Water. From above, the river winds north through the centre. The medieval abbey stands beside it, Victorian terraces and mill streets pack in around it, and larger housing estates reach toward the Gleniffer Braes on the southern skyline.
The town grew around Paisley Abbey, founded in the twelfth century. In the nineteenth century it became world famous for weaving and thread. The teardrop pattern produced on its shawls still carries the town's name, and the Coats and Clark mills made Paisley a centre of the global thread trade. Glasgow Airport sits on its northern edge.
A Paisley map poster offers plenty of detail: the river's bends, the dense grid of former mill districts, rail lines converging on the centre and the long runways to the north. It reads as an industrial town with deep medieval roots, and that combination gives the print real weight.

Abbey and mill town
The abbey and the tightly packed Victorian streets around it mark the historic core. That same district was once home to the weaving and thread trades.
Airport edge
Glasgow Airport's runways sit just north of town. They add long, clean geometric lines that contrast with the curving streets.
