Paravai Map Poster & Print
Paravai lies just northwest of Madurai in Tamil Nadu, close enough that the city's growth has reached its edges. From above it shows two patterns at once. There is an older core of close, irregular lanes typical of a Tamil village settlement, and around it newer roads and residential layouts extend toward Madurai in straighter lines.
The land here belongs to the Vaigai river basin, flat and long cultivated, with irrigation tanks and channels leaving curved shapes among fields that are slowly giving way to housing. The town is widely known in Tamil Nadu through the folk singer Paravai Muniyamma, who took its name as part of her own.
A Paravai map poster captures a place in transition, part agricultural town and part suburb. Fine lanes, the broader lines of arterial roads and the soft outlines of water tanks all share the frame, a small but honest record of how towns around Madurai are changing.

Toward Madurai
Straighter roads and newer housing layouts stretch toward the city, showing clearly how Paravai is being drawn into Madurai's growth.
Tanks and channels
Irrigation tanks and water channels from the Vaigai basin leave soft, curved shapes among the fields and plots around town.
