Pengerang Map Poster & Print
Pengerang is at the far southeastern corner of peninsular Malaysia, in the state of Johor. Its coast faces the eastern approaches to the Singapore Strait, and on a clear map the northeastern shore of Singapore is visible across the water. For a long time it was a quiet area of fishing villages and plantations, reached by long roads through the Kota Tinggi district.
The map now also shows a very different landscape. The Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex, which includes Petronas's large RAPID refinery project, covers a big area of reclaimed and cleared land along the coast. Its regular blocks and plant roads stand out clearly next to the curving shoreline and the loose lines of the older villages.
A Pengerang map poster shows a place in transition, where traditional coastal settlement sits next to heavy industry at one of the busiest maritime crossroads in the world. The coastline gives the composition its main shape, and the scale of the industrial layout adds an unusual geometric element that a black-and-white print handles well.

Petroleum complex
The large industrial site shows as a grid of plant roads and blocks, a sharp, regular form on the coast.
Coastal villages
Older fishing communities keep their informal street patterns along the shore, a contrast to the planned industrial land nearby.
