Polonuevo is a municipality in the Colombian department of Atlántico, a short distance south-west of Barranquilla. The land here is low and warm and lies on the Caribbean coastal plain. From above, the town is a small, orderly grid of blocks, with roads leading off to neighbouring municipalities and rural areas beyond.
