Spokane River
The river runs along the southern side of the city. Its broad, curving course contrasts with the straight roads and gives the map a natural edge.

Post Falls Map Poster & Print
Post Falls is a city in Kootenai County, Idaho, on the Spokane River between Coeur d'Alene to the east and Spokane, Washington, to the west. It is named after Frederick Post, who built a sawmill at the falls in the late nineteenth century. The river has defined the town ever since.
On a map, the Spokane River runs along the southern side of the city, flowing west past the dam at the falls and through channels cut into rock. Interstate 90 crosses the middle from east to west. Neighbourhoods fill the flat prairie north of the river, a mix of older grid streets and newer curving subdivisions.
Along the water, parks and trails open up the riverbank, including Q'emiln Park near the falls and a stretch of the regional Centennial Trail. A Post Falls map poster captures the relationship between river, highway and growing neighbourhoods. It is a clean composition with a strong natural line along its base, familiar to anyone in the Inland Northwest.

Falls and dam
At the falls, the river narrows around rock and a dam. It is a small but distinctive detail, and the place where the town's sawmill history began.
Prairie neighbourhoods
North of the interstate, residential streets spread across flat land in grids and curves, and new subdivisions keep extending toward the city's edges.
