Grand Canal channels
The historic canal and its branches thread through Linqing as narrow waterways. They cut across the modern street pattern and recall the city's trading past.

Qingnian Map Poster & Print
Qingnian is part of the urban core of Linqing, a county-level city in western Shandong close to the border with Hebei. The land here is the flat North China Plain, and the map is shaped by it: long straight roads and rectangular blocks of housing and industry, surrounded by fields and villages laid out with near-geometric regularity.
Linqing grew prosperous as a port on the Grand Canal during the Ming and Qing dynasties, when grain and goods moved north toward Beijing, and old canal channels still run through the city. Its best-known landmark is the Sheli Pagoda, a tall brick pagoda beside the water, a reminder of the town's long role as a stopping point on the waterway.
A Qingnian map poster shows the district's modern grid alongside the older lines of water and road that shaped the city, all set within the open farmland of the plain. It is a thoughtful piece for families from Linqing and for anyone interested in the towns that grew up along the Grand Canal.

Modern street grid
The newer areas follow straight, wide roads and large rectangular blocks. This clear, even structure is typical of planned growth on the North China Plain.
Wei River edge
To the west, the Wei River runs along the provincial boundary with Hebei. It gives the map a long natural line on one side of the urban area.

ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
For people who grew up in Linqing, or who left for jobs in Jinan, Beijing or abroad, a map of the home district keeps familiar streets in sight. Its mix of canal and grid is recognisable but understated.
