Quiterianópolis Map Poster & Print
Quiterianópolis is a municipality in western Ceará, close to the state line with Piauí, in the semi-arid interior Brazilians call the sertão. The town at its centre is modest in size. On the map it is a compact block of streets that stops abruptly at the open countryside, with regional roads leaving in several directions.
Much of the municipality's population lives outside the main town, spread across rural communities connected by unpaved roads. The landscape around it is shaped by long dry seasons and seasonal watercourses. Those channels appear on the map as thin, irregular lines that contrast with the straight streets of the town.
A Quiterianópolis map poster is spare by nature. A small, orderly centre sits in a wide field of open land, crossed by a few roads and faint streambeds. That sparseness is what makes it striking on a wall, a picture of a place defined as much by the space around it as by its streets.

Roads into the sertão
A handful of roads leave the town and continue across open country toward rural communities, forming a simple radiating pattern against the empty ground.
Seasonal watercourses
Narrow, meandering lines mark streambeds that fill only in the rainy months. They give the otherwise quiet landscape some delicate, natural texture.
