Canal network
Straight irrigation channels run through the farmland around the town. They divide the plain with strong lines and give the outer map a clear, measured structure.

R.S. Pora Map Poster & Print
R.S. Pora, short for Ranbir Singh Pura, lies on the level plains southwest of Jammu, close to the international border with Pakistan. From above, the town is a compact knot of streets and bazaars. Roads radiate from it across a landscape that is almost completely flat and divided into small, regular fields.
Irrigation canals and drains cross the countryside in long, straight lines, and the field boundaries between them create one of the most finely structured patterns a map can show. On a poster this surrounding mesh frames the town centre and gives the whole composition a quiet quality, close to that of woven cloth.
The area is widely known for its basmati rice, which is grown in the surrounding fields and valued across India. The town takes its name from Maharaja Ranbir Singh, a nineteenth-century ruler of Jammu and Kashmir. An R.S. Pora map poster brings the dense centre and the geometric farmland together, the two things that define the place.

Basmati fields
Small rectangular rice fields cover the land in every direction. Their boundaries form a fine mesh that stands out especially well in the Blueprint and Classic styles.
Bazaar core
At the centre, closely packed streets and market lanes form a denser knot where the roads from the surrounding villages meet.

ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
For families from the Jammu region, R.S. Pora is tied to the land, the harvest and connections that go back generations. A map of the town is a restrained way to keep that connection visible at home, whether in Jammu, Delhi or much further away.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, so the poster can mark a family name, a wedding or a year. Choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Sand, and download the HD files in six print sizes for $9.
