Rosolini Map Poster & Print
Rosolini lies in the province of Syracuse, in the south-east corner of Sicily. From above, the town is compact and orderly: long, straight streets cross at regular intervals, forming blocks that fill a broadly rectangular area. Around it, a patchwork of fields, orchards and narrow country roads spreads across the plateau towards the coast.
The town lies in the Val di Noto, the area of south-eastern Sicily struck by the great earthquake of 1693, after which many settlements in the region were rebuilt with more regular plans. The surrounding countryside is agricultural, known for crops typical of the south-east of the island, and the sea is a short drive away.
A Rosolini map poster shows a clear, almost geometric town plan set against the looser pattern of rural lanes. The straight streets make the town look sharp and graphic in black and white, while the fields around it add finer detail. It is a good example of how southern Sicilian towns occupy the land.

Val di Noto setting
Rosolini sits within the Val di Noto, the south-eastern Sicilian area whose towns were largely reshaped after the earthquake of 1693.
Rural lanes
Narrow country roads fan out through farmland around the town, a fine web of lines that frames the denser grid at the centre.
