Schiffweiler Map Poster & Print
Schiffweiler is in the Neunkirchen district of Saarland, in country shaped for generations by coal mining. The municipality combines several villages, including Schiffweiler, Heiligenwald, Landsweiler-Reden and Stennweiler. On a map they appear as separate built-up areas along valleys and ridges, connected by roads through wooded hills.
Mining left clear traces on the landscape. Former colliery sites, spoil heaps and industrial areas are scattered among the villages. The Reden mine site has been turned into a place for culture and leisure, with open spaces and water on the former industrial ground. Around it, the streets follow the contours of a hilly, forested landscape.
A Schiffweiler map poster shows a mining landscape in transition. The pattern of village streets and winding roads is broken up by the large open shapes of old industrial sites. Forest covers much of the land between them. It is a map about work, community and the land those decades left behind.

Reden site
The former mine at Landsweiler-Reden forms a large, open area among the streets. It has been redeveloped into a place for leisure and culture.
Wooded hills
Forest covers much of the land between the villages. Roads and streets follow the rolling terrain in curves rather than straight lines.
