Sebt Gzoula lies in the Safi province of Morocco, in the flat agricultural country east of the Atlantic port of Safi. Its name refers to the Saturday souk (sebt means Saturday), and the town grew as a trading point for the surrounding farmland. That role still shows on the map in the way several roads converge on the centre.
