The Don River
The Don curves past the town in wide bends, and its floodplain, side channels and oxbows form the most striking natural shape on the map.

Semiluki Map Poster & Print
Semiluki sits on the Don River a short distance west of Voronezh, in the forest-steppe of southern Russia. The river is the defining feature of its map: a broad, looping line with floodplain, side channels and oxbows on one side and the town on the other, its streets laid out in blocks between the water and the higher ground.
The town grew around industry and the railway. It is known for its refractory works, which has produced heat-resistant materials for decades, and its position close to Voronezh placed it within the city's wider orbit. Rail lines and main roads cut across the map in firm, straight strokes that contrast with the curving river.
A Semiluki map poster balances these two systems, the natural meander of the Don and the engineered lines of streets, tracks and roads. Printed in black and white, the floodplain becomes a band of pale space that sets off the town, giving the design a composed, almost architectural feel. It suits a larger size, where the river bends have room.

Railway lines
Rail tracks cross the area in long, deliberate lines, a reminder that the town's growth was closely tied to the railway and to local industry.
Toward Voronezh
To the east lies the large city of Voronezh, and a wider frame shows the two places linked by roads running across the river valley.
