Siguiri Map Poster & Print
Siguiri lies in the northeast of Guinea, close to the border with Mali, on the banks of the Niger River. Nearby, the Tinkisso River joins the Niger, and from above the two broad waterways, with their sandbanks and seasonal floodplains, shape the whole region. The town sits on ground beside the river, with its streets spreading inland across the savanna.
The Siguiri area has been known for gold for centuries, and it remains one of the most important mining zones in Guinea, with both large industrial operations and extensive artisanal digging. That activity is visible on the map as tracks and cleared ground spreading across the surrounding land. The town's own streets form a loose grid around its main roads.
A Siguiri map poster pairs the strong curves of two rivers with the modest geometry of a savanna town. In black and white, the floodplains become wide open areas, the channels flow across the sheet, and the town sits compactly on the bank. It is a map of water and ground, the two elements that define life here.

Mining landscape
Around the town, tracks and cleared areas linked to gold mining spread across the savanna, adding a web of lines to otherwise open ground.
