Suhe Map Poster & Print
Suhe is a small town in the southern part of Gansu Province, in north-western China. The land here is hilly and cut by valleys, and on a map the terrain is clear from the roads alone. They follow the valley floors and bend with the watercourses rather than crossing the high ground.
Settlements in this part of Gansu tend to grow along valleys, with buildings lining the main road and fields terraced up the surrounding slopes. On the map Suhe appears as a narrow, lengthened cluster, shaped more by the terrain than by any planned grid. The streams beside it add fine lines that follow the same direction.
A Suhe map poster shows how geography shapes a place. The built-up area is narrow and stretched out, the roads twist through the landscape, and the open space around them is the hillside. The result is spare and unusual, suited to styles such as Sand or Paper that soften the empty ground.

Terraced slopes
Farmland climbs the hillsides around the town, leaving large open areas on the map between the lines of road and water.

ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
For people from Suhe and the surrounding area, the map is a record of a home place that rarely appears on printed maps. Its sparse, linear composition fits especially well in minimal interiors.
Write a title and subtitle of your choice, including in your own language, and keep the coordinates line. Pick from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The files cost $9 for all six sizes, and a printed poster can be ordered on matte paper.
