Sylvania Map Poster & Print
Sylvania lies just north-west of Toledo in Lucas County, Ohio, and very close to the Michigan state line. Its map combines a small historic downtown with the later suburban growth around it. The older streets near the centre follow a fairly regular grid, while newer subdivisions to the west and south curve and loop around their own cul-de-sacs.
Ten Mile Creek, part of the Ottawa River system, winds through the city and bends the grid around it. Its wooded banks and nearby parks form long green corridors across the map. Olander Park and other open spaces add larger blocks of white between the residential streets.
Sylvania is also home to Lourdes University, whose campus appears as a distinct patch of paths and buildings. A Sylvania map poster shows how a creek, an old downtown and decades of suburban expansion fit together, a layered composition that looks especially good in a clean monochrome print.
