Truckee Map Poster & Print
Truckee sits high in the Sierra Nevada of California, north of Lake Tahoe and just east of Donner Pass. The Truckee River flows through town from Lake Tahoe toward Nevada, and Donner Lake lies to the west at the foot of the pass. Interstate 80 and the transcontinental railroad both pass through, following the historic route over the mountains.
The town grew up as a railroad and lumber settlement in the nineteenth century, and its historic downtown still lines the tracks. Today it spreads outward in neighbourhoods scattered among forested slopes and meadows, linked by winding roads. The area is also known for the Donner Party, whose ordeal took place near the lake in 1846–47.
A Truckee map poster brings all of this together: the long oval of Donner Lake, the river's curving line, the rail and highway corridors, and the loose, organic pattern of mountain neighbourhoods. It is a map of movement and landscape as much as of streets.

River and rail
The Truckee River and the railroad run close together through town, their parallel lines tracing the historic corridor across the Sierra.
Mountain neighbourhoods
Residential areas spread over slopes and meadows, with curving roads and cul-de-sacs that follow the terrain rather than a grid.

ለምን Truckee
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Truckee attracts skiers, hikers and families who return every season, and many put down roots. A map of the town brings the lake, river and trails indoors, a good fit for a cabin, chalet or city apartment.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a season or year, and the coordinates. Choose from five styles; Noir and Blueprint suit mountain interiors well. Download the HD files for $9 or order a matte printed poster with an optional frame.
