Turilândia Map Poster & Print
Turilândia is a municipality in the Brazilian state of Maranhão, in the humid lowlands of the north of the state. The town is small, and on a map it appears as a short grid of streets set within a wide landscape of vegetation, farmland and water. Roads lead out in a few directions to link it with neighbouring municipalities and rural communities.
Northern Maranhão is a transition zone between the Amazon and the drier interior, and the land here is low, green and threaded with rivers and seasonal wetlands. That landscape shapes the map: the urban area is a compact, clearly defined shape, while everything around it is made of the loose, winding lines of watercourses and unpaved tracks.
A Turilândia map poster is a quiet composition, a small town placed in a large natural setting. For anyone connected to the place, it records the streets they know and the countryside that surrounds them, and even at small print sizes the contrast between grid and landscape stays clear.

Lowland waterways
Rivers and wet ground wind through the area around the town, adding soft, irregular lines that contrast with the straight streets of the centre.
Rural connections
A handful of roads and tracks radiate outward from the town, showing its role as a local centre for the farms and villages of the region.
