Vadavalli lies on the western edge of Coimbatore, where the city meets the first ridges of the Western Ghats. From above it looks like a transitional zone. Planned residential layouts with regular plots sit beside older village lanes, and the main road toward Marudhamalai draws the built-up area westward.
