Vihti Map Poster & Print
Seen from above, Vihti is mostly forest and water. Irregular lakes fill the hollows, the largest of them Hiidenvesi, which spreads its long, branching arms across the north of the municipality. Between them run narrow roads, scattered farmsteads and the clearings of old cultivated land, so the map reads as a loose mesh of lines rather than a dense grid.
The old church village sits near the centre of this pattern, a small knot of streets around its crossroads. To the south, Nummela, the largest settlement, has grown along a sandy ridge left by the last ice age, and its tighter residential streets show up as the densest patch of ink. The Turku motorway cuts through nearby as a clean diagonal line.
A Vihti map poster captures the Uusimaa countryside as it actually looks on a map: water and woodland in balance, with settlements that follow the lie of the land. It suits anyone who knows the area from summer cottages, lake shores or the daily commute towards Helsinki, a short drive to the east.

Nummela ridge
The sandy glacial ridge carrying Nummela's streets, visible as a band of denser settlement where most of Vihti's residents live.
Scattered village roads
Country roads linking farms and small villages, drawn as thin winding lines that trace the edges of fields and forest rather than any planned layout.

ለምን Vihti
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
People hang Vihti on the wall because it stands for a particular kind of Finnish life: lakes within reach, forest behind the house, the city close but not too close. It works well for a family home, a lake cottage, or someone who grew up here and moved away.
You can add your own title, a subtitle and a coordinates line, perhaps marking a cottage or a wedding date, and choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files are $9, or order a printed poster.
