Plain-country grid
With no hills to bend around, streets and field boundaries follow compass lines, giving the map a calm, almost ruled appearance.

Xinle Map Poster & Print
Xinle is on the North China Plain in Hebei, north of Shijiazhuang. The land is almost perfectly flat, so the map reads like a drawing on a table. Straight roads run north-south and east-west, fields fill the rectangles between villages, and the town has grown outward in tidy blocks.
The main rail and road corridor between Beijing and southern China passes close by, and its long, straight lines are the strongest marks on the map. Local tradition links Xinle with Fuxi, one of the legendary founders of Chinese culture, and a terrace dedicated to him is one of the town's best-known sites.
A Xinle map poster suits people who like order and geometry. The town is a dense rectangle with a clear edge. Farm tracks and irrigation lines stretch away from it, and the transport corridor cuts across the whole composition diagonally. In a single colour the pattern looks close to textile.

Beijing–south corridor
Major rail and road links between the capital and southern China pass near the town, drawn as long uninterrupted lines across the plain.
Fuxi tradition
Xinle is associated in local tradition with the legendary Fuxi, and a terrace honouring him is the town's most familiar cultural landmark.
