Yaxing is a town in the western part of Hainan, China's southern island province. It is a rural place, and the map reflects that. There is a compact cluster of streets at the centre, then a much wider landscape of fields, plantations and small villages connected by roads that run across the gently rolling land.
Streets are densest where the main roads meet in the town centre, and the settlement thins quickly toward the edges. Beyond that, the map becomes mostly open ground with scattered buildings.
