Yeadon is a town in the City of Leeds district of West Yorkshire, set on high ground above the Aire and Wharfe valleys. It grew as a textile town in the nineteenth century, and its older streets still follow the steep, irregular lines of a Pennine settlement built around mills and terraces.
The map shows a dense core of terraced streets, with residential areas spreading outward in a mix of older and newer patterns. To the north, Yeadon Tarn forms a neat oval of water beside a park.
