Yeşilli is a district town in Mardin province in south-eastern Turkey, a short distance from the provincial capital. The region sits where the hills of the Mardin plateau meet the broad plain to the south. That meeting of slope and flatland is what gives Yeşilli its outline from above.
The town's streets follow the terrain. Some run along the contour, while others drop more steeply between blocks. At the edges the built area gives way to fields and dry open land.
