Terrain-led streets
Roads in Yushan follow the lie of the land, curving around hillsides and along low ground, which gives the map a flowing, irregular street pattern.

Yushan Map Poster & Print
Yushan is a town in the south-east of Chongqing municipality, in the mountainous country that rises toward the Wuling range. Its street map is shaped by relief: roads follow low ground and hillsides instead of a straight grid, and the built area extends wherever the land is level enough to take it. Beyond the edges, the map is dominated by slopes, ridges and small watercourses.
This part of Chongqing is largely rural, with farmland on terraces and valley floors and forested hills above. Towns like Yushan act as local centres for surrounding villages, providing markets, schools and connections to larger district seats. The wider region is also home to Tujia and Miao communities, whose culture is part of the character of south-eastern Chongqing.
A Yushan map poster turns a small mountain town into an intricate drawing of curving roads and irregular blocks. The absence of a strict grid is the design's strength: every street bends to the land, and the open space around the town reflects the hills that enclose it.

Wuling foothills
The town sits in the mountainous south-east of Chongqing, and the land around it rises into ridges and forested slopes that frame the settlement.
Terraced farmland
Terraced fields and small farms occupy the gentler ground around town, appearing on the poster as open spaces crossed by thin rural roads.
