Catamarca Map Poster & Print
San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, usually just Catamarca, sits in a valley in northwestern Argentina, and the valley shapes everything on its map. The Sierra de Ambato rises to the west and the Sierra de Ancasti to the east. Between them the city stretches along a north–south axis, with the dry bed of the Río del Valle following the same direction.
The centre is a clear Spanish colonial grid of square blocks, founded in 1683. At its heart is Plaza 25 de Mayo, framed by the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Valley. The Virgen del Valle draws large pilgrimages each year, and the cathedral is the landmark most visitors remember. Beyond the older blocks, newer neighbourhoods extend the grid outward until slopes and riverbeds interrupt it.
A Catamarca map poster captures the tension between order and terrain: the regular chessboard of streets in the middle, and the irregular edges where the valley narrows and the mountains begin. The ranges themselves appear as open, unbuilt space, framing the city on both sides. It is a composition that feels calm and enclosed, the way the valley itself does.

Río del Valle
The wide, often dry riverbed runs along the valley floor, forming a long pale band that marks the eastern side of the city on the map.
Twin sierras
The Ambato and Ancasti ranges enclose the valley on both flanks, so the built area appears as a narrow strip with empty high ground to the west and east.

Niyə Catamarca
Məna daşıyan xəritə
Catamarca is a place people return to, whether for family, for the pilgrimage or simply for the valley. A print of its grid between the sierras works as a reminder of home in a distant apartment, or as a record of time spent in northwestern Argentina.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, so the poster can carry the full city name, a year or a personal note. Pick one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to match the room.
