Lake of Two Mountains
The broad lake fills much of the frame along the town's southern side. It creates a large, calm area of open space and a long, irregular shoreline.

Deux-Montagnes Map Poster & Print
Deux-Montagnes lies on the north shore of the Lake of Two Mountains, a wide stretch of the Ottawa River just northwest of the island of Montreal. The shoreline is the defining line of the map. The town runs along the water, and the streets stretch back from it into quiet residential neighbourhoods.
Most of the street pattern is suburban, made up of curving crescents, loops and long residential avenues laid out in the second half of the twentieth century. The lakeshore is lined with houses and small parks, and the town's rail line to Montreal cuts a straight diagonal through the grid. The line is being rebuilt as part of the REM network.
A Deux-Montagnes map poster pairs the smooth expanse of the lake with a finely drawn network of residential streets. It is a gentle, balanced composition. The water takes up a large share of the frame, and the town sits along its edge as a fringe of detail.

Commuter rail line
A straight rail corridor crosses Deux-Montagnes toward Montreal. It gives the map a single strong diagonal line through the curving residential streets.
Suburban crescents
Residential streets curve and loop across the town. They form a soft, evenly textured pattern between the lakeshore and the inland edge.
