The Genhe River
The river gives the town its name and its direction. On the map it bends through the valley, and the town follows it closely.

Genhe Map Poster & Print
Genhe sits deep in the Greater Khingan Range in the far north of Inner Mongolia, where the Genhe River winds through a valley and the town follows it. From above, the built area is a narrow band of streets along the water. Forested slopes close in on both sides, so the settled ground reads as a clear shape inside a much larger green.
The town is often described as one of the coldest places in China. Winters are long, and the ground stays frozen for much of the year. Forestry shaped the local economy for decades, and the town's layout still reflects that. Rail lines and timber yards sit at the edges, and residential blocks line the flatter land near the river.
A Genhe map poster reduces all of this to line and space. The river's curves, the tight grid of the centre and the roads heading out into the forest become a quiet study of how a town fits into a valley. The empty space around the streets matters as much as the streets themselves.

Valley-bound streets
Hills on either side keep the street network narrow and long. Blocks are packed onto the flatter ground near the water rather than spreading outward.
Forest at the edges
Beyond the last streets, the map is almost empty. That large open field stands for the taiga of the Greater Khingan Range and frames the town sharply.

Niyə Genhe
Məna daşıyan xəritə
People hang a map of Genhe to remember a place far from the usual routes: a cold northern valley, a forestry town, or a family home near the Russian border. Its long, river-bound outline looks good on a wall and stays readable at any size.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example a name or a year that matters to you. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Each style gives the valley a different mood.
