Gentbrugge Map Poster & Print
Gentbrugge lies on the eastern side of Ghent, on the banks of the Scheldt. It is now part of the city, though it was once a separate municipality. On the map it reads as a transition zone: tight rows of Flemish terraced streets on one side, and wide green spaces along the river on the other.
The most distinctive feature is the Gentbrugse Meersen, a large area of wet meadows, paths and ponds along the Scheldt that has been preserved as a nature park close to the city. Major roads and railway lines also run through the district, and the E17 motorway crosses nearby on its way towards Antwerp. These strong lines add structure to the softer shapes of the meadows.
A Gentbrugge map poster brings these layers together. The river curves through the frame, the meadows open up broad pale spaces, and the dense housing blocks give the design detail and rhythm. It is a finely balanced image of a neighbourhood where city life and open landscape sit closely side by side.

Scheldt riverbank
The Scheldt curves along the district's edge. Its bends give the map a clear flowing line and separate the built-up streets from the meadows.
Terraced streets
Rows of Flemish terraced houses create a dense pattern of narrow streets and small blocks. It is the most detailed part of the design.
