Hillside streets
Roads bend and loop to follow the slopes, creating a network of curves and switchbacks that gives the poster an organic, almost hand-drawn feel.

Huauchinango Map Poster & Print
Huauchinango sits in the Sierra Norte of Puebla, in steep, green mountains on the road between Mexico City and the Gulf coast. The terrain shapes everything here. Streets climb and curve along ridges and hillsides, and the town spreads across uneven ground cut by ravines, so the map is irregular, lively and full of bends.
The historic centre, around the main square and parish church, has a denser pattern of short blocks. From there, roads wind outward along the slopes, and the edges of the town dissolve into forest and small plots. Nearby lies the Necaxa hydroelectric system, one of Mexico's early large power projects, with its reservoirs in the surrounding valleys.
A Huauchinango map poster captures a highland town where streets follow contours rather than straight lines. Known as the city of flowers, Huauchinango holds an annual flower fair and is associated with azaleas grown in the region. On the poster, it is the play of winding roads against steep terrain that makes the design.

Historic centre
Around the main square and church, a tighter pattern of short blocks forms the densest part of the map and the natural starting point for the eye.
Ravines and forest
Deep valleys and wooded slopes cut into and around the town, leaving empty areas between districts that give the composition depth and contrast.
