La Troncal Map Poster & Print
La Troncal sits in the western lowlands of Ecuador's Cañar province, where the land flattens out below the Andes and runs toward the coast. From above, the town is a tight, orderly grid of blocks, with its edges quickly giving way to open cultivated land. The street pattern is simple and regular, the kind of layout that reads cleanly once colour and terrain are stripped away.
The name points to a trunk road, and the map bears that out. Main routes approach from several directions and meet near the town, pulling the grid along their lines before it thins out into farmland. Around the built-up area, the countryside is divided into large, even plots, a sign of the sugar-cane farming that has long shaped the local economy and the town's growth.
A La Troncal map poster turns this plain into a study of lines and density: a dense cluster of short streets in the middle, long straight roads leaving it, and a quiet field of empty space around them. In monochrome it becomes a graphic record of a working town, built around a road junction and an agricultural landscape rather than hills or water.

Converging trunk roads
Main roads run into town from several directions and meet near its centre, a layout that matches the name and gives the composition clear, strong axes.
Open farmland edge
Beyond the last blocks, the map opens into broad cultivated plains linked to sugar-cane growing, a calm border of space around the dense urban core.
