Lugoj Map Poster & Print
Lugoj lies on the plain of the Banat, and the River Timiș runs straight through the middle of it. On a map the river is the first thing you see: a clear band separating the eastern and western halves of the town, crossed by a handful of bridges. Each side has its own centre and its own grid of streets, and the two only fully meet at the water.
The division has deep roots. For a long time the two banks were effectively separate settlements, one with a mostly Romanian population and one with a German one, and they were formally united only in the eighteenth century. The iron bridge from the start of the twentieth century remains one of the best-known sights in town and a familiar symbol of Lugoj.
A Lugoj map poster turns that history into a simple composition: two street patterns facing each other across a river, stitched together by bridges. Outside the centre the blocks open into garden-lined residential streets and then into the flat farmland of the Banat. It is an easy map to read at a glance, and one that repays a closer look.

Iron Bridge
The early twentieth-century iron bridge is a well-known landmark that links the two sides of town, one of several crossings visible on the poster.
Banat plain
Flat land surrounds the town on all sides, so the streets thin out gradually into long, straight rural roads and field boundaries.
