Harbour and bridges
The narrow harbour between New Providence and Paradise Island is spanned by two bridges, and on the map the pair of parallel shorelines creates one of the clearest lines on the whole island.

Nassau Map Poster & Print
Nassau sits on the northeast shore of New Providence, and from above the city reads as a strip of dense streets pressed between the harbour and a low limestone ridge. The waterfront is long and straight, with piers reaching into the channel, while Paradise Island runs parallel just offshore, turning the harbour into a sheltered lane of water.
Behind the waterfront the old town rises in a tight pattern of short blocks, climbing toward the ridge where Fort Fincastle and the Queen's Staircase stand. Further west the streets loosen into residential neighbourhoods, and inland the shape of Lake Killarney opens as a pale space among roads leading toward the airport. The island coastline wraps everything, so the sea frames the map on nearly every side.
As the capital of the Bahamas, Nassau has been the centre of island life since the colonial era, and its harbour still receives cruise ships at Prince George Wharf. A Nassau map poster keeps the relationship between town, channel and island in view, showing how closely the city is tied to the water that surrounds it.

The ridge line
Just behind the waterfront a ridge lifts the old town, where Fort Fincastle and the Queen's Staircase sit, and the street pattern bends and tightens as it meets the rise.
Lake Killarney
West of the city, Lake Killarney forms a broad inland water body, an open shape surrounded by roads and neighbourhoods that balances the busy coastline on the composition.
