Main road spine
A single through road gives the town its axis. Most of the denser blocks gather on either side of it, and side streets branch off at uneven intervals.

Oupoyo Map Poster & Print
Oupoyo lies in the Bas-Sassandra District of southwestern Ivory Coast, a region where towns grew along the roads that carry farm produce toward the coast. From above it reads as a compact core of blocks and compounds, and its lanes thin out quickly at the edges. Beyond them the map turns quiet, broken only by paths that lead toward plantations and patches of remaining forest.
The pattern is typical of the southwest's farming towns. A main road acts as the spine, market and service streets gather close to it, and newer housing spreads in irregular clusters rather than a strict grid. Streams cut shallow lines through the surrounding land. Because there is little dense development, the street network has generous white space around it, which suits a minimalist print well.
An Oupoyo map poster is a modest subject next to Abidjan, and that is part of its appeal. It records a place at its real scale: the handful of streets people actually walk each day, framed by the countryside that sustains them. Anyone who grew up here or has family in the region will recognise the outline straight away.

Loose outer lanes
At the edges, the street pattern loosens into tracks and footpaths that fade into farmland, so the town has a soft, frayed outline rather than a hard urban boundary.
Open surroundings
Wide areas of cultivated land and forest surround the town, so the printed map has plenty of calm white space around a small, dense centre.

Məna daşıyan xəritə
People hang this map because it is rarely drawn anywhere else. A print of Oupoyo keeps a hometown, a family village or a place of work close, drawn with the same care usually reserved for capitals.
You can change the title and subtitle, add a date that matters to you and adjust the coordinates line, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9 and include six print sizes.
