Freeway interchanges
Several highways meet in and around Pomona, and their looping ramps cut across the regular street grid in broad curves that add movement to an otherwise orderly map.

Pomona Map Poster & Print
Pomona sits at the eastern edge of Los Angeles County, in the valley that bears its name, with the San Gabriel Mountains rising to the north. Its streets follow the orderly grid common across the region, with long straight avenues interrupted by rail lines and by the freeways that cross the city, including Interstate 10 and State Route 60.
The city was named after the Roman goddess of fruit, a nod to the citrus orchards that once covered the valley. Today it is home to Cal Poly Pomona, whose campus spreads across the hills on the western side of town, and to the Fairplex, the grounds of the Los Angeles County Fair. The historic downtown keeps a cluster of older buildings along its main streets.
A Pomona map poster shows a classic Southern California plan with some welcome disruptions. The grid is cut diagonally by rail tracks, freeway interchanges add sweeping curves, and the Cal Poly campus appears as a looser pattern of roads on the western slopes. In the north of the city, the oval track of the fairgrounds is one of the map's most recognisable shapes.

Cal Poly Pomona campus
The university occupies a large hillside site on the west side of the city. Its winding roads and scattered buildings contrast clearly with the rectangular blocks nearby.
Fairplex grounds
Home of the LA County Fair, the Fairplex covers a broad area in the north of the city, with an oval track and open lots that stand out as large, simple shapes.

Niyə Pomona
Məna daşıyan xəritə
Pomona is a place of arrivals and departures: students who spent four years at Cal Poly, families who moved east from central Los Angeles, people who never missed the county fair. A map keeps that chapter visible, in a style that fits apartments and offices equally well.
Add a graduation year or a family name to the title, adjust the subtitle, and edit the coordinates line if you like. Pick one of five styles and download files that include 18×24″ and 24×36″ sizes, or have a framed poster shipped to you.
