Straight North Sea beach
The coastline runs in a long, almost ruler-straight line, with the boulevard tracing it just inland. On the poster the sea becomes a single calm field beside the dense streets.

Scheveningen Map Poster & Print
Scheveningen is the coastal district of The Hague, facing the North Sea along a broad sandy beach. On a map the shoreline is almost perfectly straight. The boulevard runs parallel to it, and the district's streets step back inland in a dense grid. To the south lies the harbour, cut into the land as a pair of long basins.
It began as a fishing village and grew into one of the best-known seaside resorts in the Netherlands. The Kurhaus, a grand nineteenth-century hotel, still faces the beach, and the pier reaches out into the sea nearby. During the Second World War the name was reportedly used as a shibboleth, because its opening sounds are hard for non-Dutch speakers to pronounce.
A Scheveningen map poster sets that tidy street grid against the blank sweep of the sea. The pier shows as a thin line into open water and the harbour basins as clean geometric cuts. Dunes and woodland soften the edges between the district and the rest of The Hague. It is a map with a strong horizon.

The harbour basins
South of the beach, two harbour basins are cut into the land behind the coast. Their crisp geometric shape stands out clearly in black and white.
Pier and Kurhaus
The pier projects into the sea near the Kurhaus. It is one of the few man-made lines to cross the shore and an easy landmark to find on the map.

Niyə Scheveningen
Məna daşıyan xəritə
Scheveningen means summer days, winter walks along the boulevard or years spent living a short tram ride from the beach. The clean edge between town and sea makes it one of the most graphic coastal maps you can hang.
Personalise the title and subtitle, add a date or keep the coordinates, and choose a style. Blueprint and Noir suit the strong coastline, while Sand and Paper lean toward the dunes. Classic black & white stays closest to a traditional chart.
