Suburban street weave
Curving residential streets and short cul-de-sacs fill most of the frame. Together they form the fine, intricate texture of Nicosia's late twentieth-century growth.

Stróvolos Map Poster
Stróvolos is the second-largest municipality in Cyprus and lies to the south-west of Nicosia's walled old city. The map shows it as a broad, low-rise suburb. Winding residential streets, cul-de-sacs and main avenues run outward from the capital toward the open plain.
Most of its development came in the second half of the twentieth century, and the street pattern reflects that era. Instead of one historic centre there are several neighbourhood cores, each built around a parish church or square and linked by arterial roads. Seasonal riverbeds, typical of the island, cut through the suburbs as green strips that are easy to pick out from above.
A Stróvolos map poster offers a different view of Nicosia, one that focuses on the neighbourhoods where much of daily life happens. The irregular weave of streets creates a dense, lace-like texture, and the major roads give it structure. Hung next to a map of the old walled city, it makes a meaningful pair.

Arterial avenues
Main roads run outward from the capital through Stróvolos. Their broader lines cut across the suburban pattern and divide it into recognisable districts.
Riverbed parks
Seasonal riverbeds cross the municipality as narrow green corridors, partly used as linear parks. They add flowing lines to an otherwise dense residential map.
