The falls edge
The wide Zambezi narrows into a long straight line where the water drops into the first gorge. On the map it appears as a crisp horizontal break across the river.

Victoria Falls Map Poster & Print
Few towns of this size have a setting as dramatic as Victoria Falls. The streets form a modest, loosely planned town on the Zimbabwean bank of the Zambezi, but the map is dominated by the river: a broad channel scattered with islands above the falls, then a sudden drop into a narrow chasm, and below it a sequence of gorges folding back on each other in a sharp zigzag.
The falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, the smoke that thunders, form one of the largest sheets of falling water in the world, and the site is shared with Zambia across the river. The Victoria Falls Bridge, completed in the early twentieth century, spans the gorge just downstream and links the town with Livingstone on the other side.
A Victoria Falls map poster shows all of this in a single frame. The town's streets occupy one corner, while the Zambezi, its islands and the angular gorges take up much of the composition. In black and white the gorges read almost like a drawing, and the scale of the river makes the town feel small in the best sense.

Zigzag gorges
Below the falls, the river runs through a series of gorges that turn back and forth at sharp angles, one of the most striking river shapes anywhere on a map.
Victoria Falls Bridge
The bridge crosses the gorge downstream of the falls, linking Zimbabwe and Zambia. On the poster it is a small but clear line joining the two banks.

Niyə Victoria Falls
Məna daşıyan xəritə
Victoria Falls is a place people travel far to see, often once in a lifetime. A map of the river, gorges and town is a considered way to remember the trip, and the graphic shapes make it strong enough to hang on its own.
Add a title, a subtitle with the dates of your journey and the coordinates line. Noir and Blueprint bring out the lines of the gorges, while Paper and Sand give a softer, warmer feel; Classic black & white is also available.
