Lake Wilson
The reservoir's two long arms wrap around the town on the north and south. The result is a winding water outline that looks almost like a moat on the map.

Wahiawā Map Poster & Print
Wahiawā sits on the central plateau of Oahu, between the Waiʻanae Range to the west and the Koʻolau Range to the east. It is one of the few towns in Hawaii without a coastline. Instead it has a lake: Lake Wilson, also called the Wahiawā Reservoir, whose two long arms curve around the town on almost every side and give it an unusual, nearly island-like outline on a map.
The plateau around the town has long been farmland, and the Dole Plantation, with its fields of pineapple, lies just to the north. Schofield Barracks, one of the largest Army posts in Hawaii, borders the town to the west, with a noticeably more regular grid of streets and parade grounds. Kamehameha Highway runs through the town on its way from Honolulu to the North Shore.
A Wahiawā map poster shows the strongest feature clearly: a compact grid of streets held within the curves of the reservoir, with bridges crossing to the rest of the island. It is a distinctive composition and reads as a place with firm natural boundaries.

Schofield Barracks grid
West of the town, the Army post is laid out in a regular, planned grid of streets and open fields. It contrasts with the looser civilian blocks.
Kamehameha Highway
The main road crosses the reservoir on bridges and runs through the town. It connects the south shore of Oahu with the North Shore.

Məna daşıyan xəritə
Wahiawā is often a home for military families stationed at Schofield, and many people remember it as a stop on the drive to the North Shore. A map poster keeps a record of that time on the island.
You can add names, a date of arrival or a unit number in the title and subtitle, and edit the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters on matte paper can be framed in wood.
