Aliança Map Poster & Print
Aliança is a town in the Zona da Mata of Pernambuco, the humid belt inland from the Atlantic coast of northeastern Brazil. For centuries this region has been shaped by sugarcane, and the surrounding landscape of rolling hills and cane fields gives the town its setting and much of its history.
From above, Aliança appears as a compact town whose streets bend with the terrain. The centre forms a denser cluster around the main square and church area, while residential streets extend along the valleys and the roads leading out of town. Small streams and patches of vegetation soften the edges of the plan.
An Aliança map poster shows a type of town common in northeastern Brazil, rooted in the cane economy and built on gentle hills. The composition is modest and balanced, with the town at the centre and the open country of the Zona da Mata stretching out around it.

Streets on slopes
Residential streets curve with the rolling ground, following valleys and ridges rather than a strict grid, which gives the map a soft, uneven rhythm.
Cane country around
Open land surrounds the town on all sides, standing in for the sugarcane fields that have defined the Zona da Mata for generations.
