Bedlington Map Poster & Print
Bedlington is a town in south-east Northumberland, a short distance inland from the North Sea coast. Its historic centre follows a long, broad main street running along higher ground, while the River Blyth winds through a wooded valley along the southern side of the town.
Around the old core, the map fills with twentieth-century housing and the remains of former colliery settlements, reflecting the area's long association with coal. Bedlington also gave its name to the Bedlington Terrier, the lamb-like dog breed that originated in this part of Northumberland.
