Bình Thủy Map Poster & Print
Bình Thủy is an urban district of Cần Thơ, the largest city in the Mekong Delta. It lies along the Hậu River, the broad southern branch of the Mekong, and on a map the district is defined by water. Smaller rivers and canals branch inland from the main river, and roads follow their banks or cross them on short bridges.
Between the waterways, the pattern shifts from dense riverside streets to orchards, gardens and lower-density housing. The district also holds Cần Thơ's airport, whose long runway forms one of the few perfectly straight lines in an otherwise curving landscape, as well as the Trà Nóc industrial zone near the river.
Bình Thủy is known for its old house, a well-preserved residence from the nineteenth century that combines Vietnamese and French architectural elements and has appeared in films.
