Böblingen Map Poster & Print
Böblingen lies southwest of Stuttgart, and its built-up area runs continuously into neighbouring Sindelfingen, so the two towns read almost as one on the map. At the centre are two small lakes, the Upper and Lower Lake, lying below the old town hill. They give the core an unusual shape: water and green space where most towns would have a market square.
Around this middle the town spreads in residential rings and commercial districts, with the A81 motorway running along its edge. A former airfield has become a new district known as the Flugfeld, and a historic hangar there now houses Motorworld, a centre for classic cars. To the south, the wide Schönbuch forest begins, a large blank area in the map's lower half.
