Valley-bound streets
The town's roads follow the lie of the land and curve along the valley floor instead of forming a regular grid, which gives the map a flowing, organic line.

Dazhuang Map Poster & Print
Dazhuang is a town in eastern Gansu Province, in the hilly loess country that stretches across this part of northwest China. Gullies and small river valleys carve up the land, and settlements tend to follow the level ground at the bottom of them. From above, the town appears as a narrow band of streets fitted between rising slopes.
The roads follow the terrain. Instead of forming a grid, the streets bend with the valley, and smaller lanes branch off toward villages on the surrounding slopes, many of them farmed as terraced fields. The built-up area is compact and gathered around a main road, which gives the print a clear centre with a lot of quiet space around it.
A Dazhuang map poster is a modest, personal piece rather than a famous skyline. It suits people from the town or the wider Gansu countryside who want a record of one specific place: the road home, the valley it follows, and the lanes that link one household to the next across the hills.

Loess hill country
Around the town, gullies and ridges cut through the loess plateau. The lanes that climb into them trace the shape of the hills across the print.
Compact centre
The built-up area is small and concentrated along its main road. The print shows a clear core surrounded by open, lightly marked countryside.

For anyone who left Dazhuang for a larger city, a map of the town is a quiet way to keep the place close. Its winding roads and valley setting make an image that is personal and unlike any generic city print.
