Fleet Map Poster & Print
Fleet lies in north-east Hampshire, on sandy heathland near the Surrey border. On the map, the town is a network of leafy residential streets around a long main road, Fleet Road. The railway line runs along its northern edge, and the Basingstoke Canal curves through the southern part. To the north lies the wide expanse of Fleet Pond.
Fleet grew quickly after the railway arrived in the Victorian period and became a commuter town for London. Fleet Pond, a nature reserve, is the largest freshwater lake in Hampshire. The town's name is also familiar to many drivers because of Fleet services on the nearby M3 motorway.
