From above, the flat, regular streets of Fushë-Krujë contrast with the steep, folded terrain rising to the east.
The main road north from Tirana runs through the area, and the town's streets branch off it in a loose, practical pattern. Farmland and new construction mix at the edges, and the country's main international airport lies a short distance to the south.
